A wonderful tale that is more than just a Minecraft adventure. The squeals are just as amazing and just as worth the read.

I had no idea Minecraft novels existed before I found this book. Now, I've played a little of the game, and there is no story in it, just a big open world full of blocks and block related things. So I wasn't sure what to expect. But once I started reading I knew what I had found. A good story. This book takes a Minecraft character, a small boy, and throws him into our world. A neat concept that is wonderfully executed. Even you have even just a small idea of what Minecraft is, you'll enjoy this book. Why? Because the story goes beyond a simple computer game. It involves aspects of growing up, making mistakes, burdening aspirations, and more. A lot of things children and even adults go through. So if you want a neat story to read, regardless if you are a child or adult, you'll enjoy this one. No doubt.

I found that non-gamers can really enjoy the story too

I think it's very well done -- the way it shows the strangeness of each world from the other's perspective, is suspenseful, and introduces deeper themes amidst the action. I read it because my Minecraft-loving grandson was enjoying it. I found that non-gamers can really enjoy the story too.
